the only thing I know about them is that they are huge

As far as I know they use the d&b Audio J-Series for the True and Black Metal Stage:
J8 and J12 Linearrays. 20 tops per side and 4 tops per side sidefill + a few tops stacked on the Subwoofers as a nearfill.

The Party Stage used JBL VaryTec Linearrays and JBL VRX Linearrays as sidefills / nearfills.

Hi there, many open airs have a better sound. In addition, there other Pa systems were used. The WOA is sponserd since 2006 by d&b audiotechnik GmbH from Backnang. Conversely they do check their systems and present them to a big public. They use the whole as an advertising campaign. So both sides wins of it. Equipment like Meyersound or Adamson or, or would cost a lot more.

before that it was 2ys CODA Audio, before that i don't remember
