Is this brainwashing? Technically it can be. I still say keep church and metal separate. For that matter keep church and everything separate but thats just me.

Well for one thing i find it hypocritical that the church who has always called metal - music of satin, is now embracing it and calling it 'Christian Black Metal'.

and it's not llike the vatican is endorsing christian black metal.

Also lots of metalheads are like "damn christians and their christianity" and then practically shit themselves when it's christmas. I find this funny and possibly on topic??? Not that I'm saying anyone here does that

church meaning those of the Christian religion. (not all of course but these in particular) And its not about those bands being good or bad its the fact that for years they criticized the whole metal scene and now some of them decide to join it, forming "death metal" bands.

But which in particular? Christians is a generalisation, so some people can see making a christian metal band as pious.

Nowhere was it "all christian churches unite to condemn metal". It's all about degrees. Your argument is too black and white.

Idk how it is there but here i see it as hipocritical. In their (the Christian community who is anti everything thats not Christian) eyes, the metal scene was always bad but yet when some christian bands do it and openly call themselves "Christian (rock, metal. whatever), its ok. Sorry but thats just wrong.

That's not hypocrisy. You just stated it yourself, "Christian community who is anti everything thats not Christian", "yet when some christian bands". You see, it wasn't the metal they were against, it was the message.

And to reitirate, christian is an overgeneralisation. theres many different kinds. know your enemy.

to explain the argument though. That's how lots of christians saw it. It would be hypocritical if they suddenly supported satanic black metal. Nah, that would just be confusing.

Also, it's not like metal was the only music to recieve this treatment. Even jazz got this.
