Most northern and central European countries have really good looking girls. And many of them are confident, but not bitches.

The aussie guys last year were saying that about European women. I put it down to a cultural thing. I Australia (and probably US) we have more personal space and if someone invades it we get defensive.

OF course this is a generalisation. If a metalhead came up to me here, I'd gladly talk to him-providing me wasn't drunk and could carry a conversation, but the hardest thing is trying to talk to someone at a gig. I get frustrated because I can't hear!

Actually, I had fun meeting you people (drunk or not) last year.

My friend and I would laugh and label people based on their state of drunkeness....

we had "cactus" and "maggot"

Maggot is the worst case when they're so drunk they can't stand up properly. A swedish guy came and started talking to us in the biergarten - he was a scream! Very maggot! He was looking for speed. By the end of the conversation, he was on his knees and elbows! hahahahah :D

Make that mead & you've got a deal :D

The worst girls are from Israel. Either they are really hairy or they have this horrible attitude. I guess its a cultural thing. Living in a place like Israel that is so male dominated that the women have to become super bitches. Still, i wouldn't cross the street to piss on them if they were on fire.

LOL! ouch, that's harsh! I met one Israeli chick at Wacken who was very pretty. Then again, she also kept talking about how much she hated living there.

Thats why I left. I had the option of moving to the US, so I took it. I finished my military service, and got out as quickly as I could.

I really feel for people who hate it as much as I do, and don't have the option to leave. Israel is really a place for only a certain type of person. If you're a real non conformist, then don't bother even trying to live there.

Israel is basically an army with a country. Many people are comfortable with that situation, since it gives them a structure. But for women, they have 2 choices, either be the kind of woman who fits into that system or be more aggressive and more stupid than the men who live that life. Israel takes you right after high school and then you give them 3 years of your life, from 18 to 21, where you usually see combat, maybe have to kill, and usually come close to being killed. Then you repeat that for 1 month a year until you're 40. It fucks you up. Big time. Thats why I'm not there anymore, and hope never to return.

Shit! The idea of compulsory military service always scared me. To me, it amounts to being plucked out of your life, thrown into the rank and file where they do nothing but try to break you down only in the hopes of building you back up to their ideal, and then possibly shipped off to fight a war you don't necessarily believe in. I love my country as much as any decent American should, but that doesn't mean I have to love my government, or what it sometimes forces its people to do. I'm just thankful that the only way we'd have to start up the draft again here is if we all of a sudden declared war on China...Now that's a scary thought. :D

And I've known too many friends who've joined the military simply to attain some structure in their lives. Mostly friends of mine who partied too hard, had fucked up family/personal lives, and what have you. I suppose that's fine if you feel you have nowhere else to turn.

Now that you mention it - the area where I live is mostly Jewish (I sometimes think I'm the only one in this town who eats bacon), and I've seen a lot of local kids leaving home to join the Israeli army, lately. Kids from rich families, especially. I guess it's a requirement of maintaining Israeli citizenship, perhaps?

there is a huge difference between having a compulsory service of one year or something, like in Germany, and being in Israel where its a 3 year service and you KNOW you will see combat. I tried so hard to not become a combat soldier, and i ended up spending 2 years during the Israeli occupation in Lebanon.
The thing with Israeli girls is that they have the same kind of expereince. Now imagine you were a woman, jsut out of high school, and were sent into the Israeli Army. Its your first experience outside of home and right away you're taught that men do all the real work, and woman are only there to support the men, bring them coffee and that kind of thing. Wouldn't you be bitter? I don't blame the women for being bitter. It is, after all, the fault of the society they live in. Men have the same kind of expereince, but from the opposite side, and so they see women as object to serve them.

Some women play the game and others lash out against it. There are too few who say "fuck it, i'm not playing" and those who do are the ones who end up hating being there. I refused to play the game, and I could leave, even though its much easier for a guy to play the game.
