I've been told the trip from the USA to Europe is bad, since you are losing 7.5 hours or so going to Germany. For example I'm going to land at 7:30 Hamburg time but for me its around midnight St. Louis time. So I'm going to be dragging major ass that day unless I can get myself a lot of sleep on the way over, and even then I'll still be dragging ass. :lol: hard to get myself to fall asleep for several hours if Its early evening my time. I think I'll have to not sleep the night before...and take a muscle relaxer or something.
That'll be pretty difficult. Best thing I can think of is try to stay up till at least 9pm or so. Maybe have a short nap in the middle of the day if you have to (set an alarm).
Last time I went, I landed somewhere around noon local time, already pretty tired because I can't really sleep on planes. I was determined not to fall asleep until a somewhat decent time though, so I explored the city a bit. After an hour or two I was bored and ended up back at the hotel. Tried to swim in the pool, but it was cold beyond cold so I gave up on that after half an hour of trying to get used to it. With nothing left to do I read my book, played some games, anything I could think of, but I think I still passed out around 7pm. Luckily managed to sleep through the night. I was good after that.
