My mate and I are coming to wacken this year after discussing it for about 5 years and only ending up at uk fests! Have we actually got confirmed headliners yet? Tried deciphering the German threads but my English is poor let alone my German lol!

BTW we are doubling it into a road trip 800 mile trip in the car! Whoop woop

I am from Leeds, uk! Bit of background I've done every download since it became download, every soni and bloodstock twice, just looking for a change and wacken had been discussed loads but we pulled the trigger and bought tickets this year!

I've seen the confirmed list, doesn't necessarily say headliners tho, just it's odd, normally at download/bloodstock/sonisphe re there's rumour threads and loads of talk about band platings in the slots, obviously this may happen here but i can't read it due to it being German lol!

On the question: many people expect a mega headloner, but I don't know what you can expect. It's just a question of waiting and see what happens.

I've got about 20 questions but well go with one other I've been dying to know,

How compact is the festival? Download has about a 2 mile walk from car to start of campsite then same again to the arena? I've drunk half of what I carry by the time I get anywhere! Lol

You can park next to your car. Depending on where you are, it's from 5min to 50min.
