CHILDREN OF BODOM To Release 'Best Of' CD In Japan - July 22, 2003

Finland's CHILDREN OF BODOM recently entered keyboardist Janne Warman's Beyond Abilities studio to record a bonus track for the forthcoming "Best Of " album, to be released exclusively in Japan through Toy's Factory Records. "The Japanese record label, for the first three [CHILDREN OF BODOM] albums, wanted to come out with a special album due to the expiration of [the band's] record deal [with the company]," reads a post on the group's web site. "[The] name of the album, track listing and street date [will be announced] later."

As previously reported, CHILDREN OF BODOM's latest CD, "Hate Crew Deathroll", will receive its long-overdue U.S. release on September 23 through Century Media Records. The group, who recently parted ways with rhythm guitarist Alexander "Aku" Kuoppala, will team up with DIMMU BORGIR, NEVERMORE and HYPOCRISY for a North American tour in November.

DARK TRANQUILLITY Set European Release Date For DVD - July 22, 2003

Sweden's DARK TRANQUILLITY have set a September 29 European release date for their DVD, entitled "Live Damage". Release dates for the rest of the world will be announced soon.

According to the band, "the final result has surpassed all expectations. Everything looks and sounds fantastic, and the people at Metal Mind Productions have done a truly excellent job with making the presentation as slick and professional as possible.

"Apart from the full-length show recorded in Krakow last October, the disc will also include extensive live bootleg footage, promotional video clips, interactive biography, an in-depth interview with [vocalist] Mikael [Stanne] and lots of other goodies. Dolby digital 5.1 surround sound? But of course!"

Besides, it's very hard for a company to fire someone in Sweden, even if they are incompenetnt and/or do not do their job.

The Meddl-Bash? Nope, that's a one-day-festival near hamburg. It's on saturday, that warm-up-thing @Headbanger's would be on saturday as well. viking said, you'd be at the metal bash and would'nt be able to go to the warm-up party then. Just wanted to know. ^^
