Q & A about Wacken Open Air

Does any one know if will using Wacken shuttle buss to and from Itzehoe train station/Wacken should buy on line or have to reservation in advance or suppose to be pay directly on site before departure?
As this is my first time, just want to make sure because after the last show have to go to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof/Flughafen from Itzehoe in the early morning.
I'm asking about this via welcomepoint@wacken.com but the email was bounce back.

for the busses between itzehoe and wacken there is no reservation needed.
you buy a return ticket at the wacken stand at itzehoe station.

but if you need to go from wacken to the airport you can also take a bus directly to the airport.
As far as I know you do need a reservation for those busses.

Very well noted. I already have a return train ticket from Itzehoe to airport (transit and change at Hamburg Hbf), so I need to go to Itzehoe from venue by shuttle buss on early Sunday morning then. Vielin dank.

I think it will prevent a big mud puddle in front of the 2 stages and between the main and party stage. It was brutal in 2016 and i'm pretty sure it was worst in 2015.

haha, nothing is guarantee The site is a field and we cannot control the weather. Are you going there by car ?

Oh well, your driving really saved my ass last time. There was a massive queue towards Hamburg, but we took some route that involved minor roads and it was a really good solution

Well it depends. Metal battle bands start playing on wednesday already. If you care about those, I guess coming that day would be better.

I don't know how used the lockers are, if you can get one on thursday. Maybe someone else knows?

Lockers need to be reserved. In due time, this will be announced on the website in the news.
