Nightlife in Göteborg

Hey guys! I'm currently working in Sweden and tomorrow me and my collegues (without the boss ) are planning to go to Göteborg to celebrate the end of the season. Any ideas on how and where to spend the night? Getting pissed is a definite option (for the others, that is), disco is not

What are you after?

I know most of the good and great beer hang outs.
I know nothing of discos or "drink" or wine places.

What kind of food would you be interested in?

Metal places?

Sounds pretty good already. There's four of us, I'm the only metalhead, none of the others are into discos, so that narrows the choice somewhat. 'The Rover sounds like an Irish Pub?

I guess the others would be interested in places that sell drinks as well, but being good Germans (unlike me) good beer will already go a long way with them Tack saa mycket!

It's not Irish really, they serve a lot of Swedish good micro brewery beers, as well as American (the good ones) and English beers.
Also some German and Czech.

Not sure yet

But I'm recovering from a bad cold, and working Thursday, so won't plan any nights out just now.

If I do go, I'll just listen for some non-Swedish talk and ask if you know gnoff

So, if you're going to The Rover.

Take the tram to Järntorget.
If you stand by the fountain with the trams to your right, Andra Långgatan is more or less the way your nose is pointing. Walk down it for 2-3 minutes and you've got The Rover on your left hand side.

Andra Långgatan is also Incidentally known as Gothenburgs porn street, so if you're interested in and toys or stuff, you'll have some shops there

Rover has some nice whisky as well.

We'll drop our last customers at Säve Airport around 4 pm, so I guess with all the saying-goodbye and stuff we'll arrive in Göteborg at about 5. Do you think we can park anywhere cheaply and explore the city on foot? The boss pays the gasoline, but not the tram tickets...

I tend to not use my car in the city, mostly because it's not fun to drive in there, and parking is a bit scarce.

I know there's a few parking garage lpaces, no idea what the cost is though.

Me and my wife is going to write a contract on an apartment that we're most likely going to purchase.

We were there, and nobody seemed to know you

We hit the road after a few hours, and the others dragged me from Sticky Fingers to Nefertiti (closed at that time) and Rockbaren. But we met some guy from Göteborg and crashed at his place in the end, was funny.
