The new Paradise Lost album - "Symbol of Life" - isn't half bad, actually. Maybe they'll lose their "Most Boring Band in the World" award given to them by xpet.

Actually, the last Paradise Lost album I've listened to is "Draconian times" (incredible album, btw)

Yes, it is. "Icon", the one prior to "Draconian Times", is the best they've done, IMHO.

hey, I didn´t give them the "most boring band" award! Paradise Lost was one of the bands which leaded me to Metal Icon and Gothic and shades of God are great! Or lets say, everything before Draconian Times is great, DT is still good.
Only thing I said was that Nick Holmes is a bad frontman and that they were disappointing as hell at the Summer Breeze

So what's the closest comparison against their other releases?

ummm... no clue. Have to admit that I downloaded a few songs last night because I was curious - have to say that I guess I don´t like it. Its more electronic than the other stuff. And as I don´t know the new albums very well I can´t compare...

I'd say it sounds like "Draconian Times" with a bit more modern sound. "Modern" not in a bad way, here. It's nowhere as electronic as "One Second".
