There's actually someone called Wani in this forum - he/she is from Japan.

[Iscariot]

I think the language is the reason not many people from Japan are coming here. I mean, how many Japanese can speak decent English?

[Supercharger]

Well more than in France I think Don't know many Japanese bands except for Ritual Carnage

[^witchfinder^]

@Iscariot well actually i live in a town where we get a lot of Japanese students ages from 15 to around 30 and they speak pretty good english

i must say i have not seen that many that look like they may like metal ....but there is lots out there cos metal is HUGE in Japan

c'mon Supercharger you must have heard of the 80'S metal band LOUDNESS ?

[Evenfiel]

As far as I know, japanese students know how to write and understand english, but usually they cant speak english.

Its weird that I've rarely seen a japanese in irc channels, metal forums and metal mailing lists...

[Stevo]

I've actually lived a couple of years in Tokyo and I can say this much, the younger people and most of the older one do speak, or at least understand english but usually they are too shy.
