i think the easyest way to travel from vilnius to northgermany is by ship
by train would be more expensive and complicating i think,
i know there is a shipline from kiel (german eastcoast) to klaipeda (lithuania)
from kiel isn't it complicate by train

how much would it cost tot ake a boat from klaipeda to kiel? How long would it take? And how far is kiel from wacken? Are there any sites with the boat orutes and pricing?

If you could somehow go to Riga, then by Ryan air to Stockholm Sweden, continue to Hamburg (Lübeck), you could then fairly easy go to Hamburg station, then Itzehoe, then Wacken.
Two flights with Ryan air, if you go August 1 to Stockholm from Riga, spend the night at the airport, then leave August 2nd to Hamburg (Lübeck), you could get the two flights for about $105 (USD).
Might be a $8 or 9 in handling fee per trip too, if I remember Ryan air booking correctly.
Don't know if that would be an option for you, but it's not real expensive.
