I really liked X2. I grew up on the comic books and it had a really good true comic book feel. Not in a cartoonish way, but the story really resembled a comic book story.
Plus the characters were very well developed, though I'm still upset that they made iceman a teenager and Colossus was only in the movie for 2 minutes.

I think it was more than ok!
Also read the marvel comics a lot when younger, but didn't like the first film...
