Sorry guys, my life was messy a little bit.

Back again.

About the beer:

Hungarian beers:

Borsodi
Soproni
Kőbányai
Szalon
Arany Ászok
and some more, but not reaaly have to be mentioned.
You can drink Borsodi,Soproni,Arany Ászok in the most of the pubs. The most widely used on taps. If i want to save money but drink some good beer then I choose Kőbányai in the shops. In pubs I choose Borsodi if it's available. That's cheap enough but depends on the pub. In my favourite pub it's 200 HUF for a pint (5dl). Less than 1 euro :D

Foreign beers:
Kozel
Krusovice
Stella
Heineken
etc :)
From the foreign beers i prefer the checz beers. But not Pilsner.

About the good lookin' guys: There are some, i think. But not me :D

And about Wacken: still not find a goddam cheap flight to Hamburg from Budapest. I'm getting angry, coz I don't want to take a bus again.

Er, is the train maybe an option? (I honestly don't know)

The train is about duoble price than the bus, and at least 8 hours plus travel time. Doesn't mention the line change and things. Last year the organized bus was 80 euro in return. There are cheap flights, but only by Air Berlin. But they still not have a schedule for the second half of the year.

And the biggest problem with the organised bus, was that we had to listen Gamma Ray for more than 32 hours. And one album in loop. So when we arrived to Wacken, we decided not to take the concert. We had time to listen them going to Wacken, and by the way back home.

So, if it will be Air Berlin flight, then i'll take the plane wich is only 2 hours to Hambrug, or if it won't be, then i'll choose the bus which is about 18 hours. :)

Or i'll start travel 2 weeks before and hitchike from Hungary to Germany :D:D

oh, yes, AirBerlin ... I knew there was one more cheap airline I had forgotten to check :o
I'd just wait til their summer schedule is out and then hope to catch a really cheap flight - cos what I've seen now is also more than 200 Euro...

200 Euro. God. It's half of the monthly wage for a typical hungarian. 400-500 eur is the general salary per month. I'm checking air berlin homepage almost every day, to check the new schedule and grab a cheap ticket :) But doesn't matters. I can take the bus in case of emergency. I had to be there. I just promised to my german friends. And i have to bring some hungarian food and drink to them :)

holy shit! that is not much!

I work 12.5 hours a week and I get over 400 euro  :D

How long do you save before you can go to wacken?

Hallo LW, you live in the Netherlands, the standerd of life is MUCH higher than in Hungary!

@all Germans, and those who live there.

If the DB launches again those cheap tickets like e.g. the LIDL-tics, could y ou warn me then! I think I will have to go take the train from Augsburg to Itzehoe, and I reckon a normal trip will be too expensive. (return ticket) We plan to go to Augsburg first to visit a friend of ours and I will go from Augsburg to Itzehoe by train then.

Danke!

It depends on. A lot of things is expensive, others are cheap. Mostly the problem is you have to pay half of your salary for your flat. I'm still studying, so i have to save for a lot of time. If I would work, then maybe 3-4 months would be enough, but for that time, have to miss some so called "luxury". No party, drinking with friends, etc.

There are people who get more, who less. Depends on where or what you workin'.

But to get to Wacken is not much more than to take the Sziget festival here in Hungary.

But the biggest luxury is partying and drinking with friends at Wacken.
And at Wacken everybody is your friend!

I wanted to post something but MU was being disturbing again, and now I forgot what I wanted to post.

Cigarette and alcohol is cheaper. :D

1 pint beer: from 0,7 to 1,5 EUR
Hard drinks: 1,5-2,5 EUR (5cl)
Coffee: 0,6-1 EUR

Depends on the pub.

In shops:
1 bottle of beer: @1 EUR
1 bottle of quality wine: @4 EUR
1 bottle of hard drink: @12 EUR

Cigarettes: @2 EUR - @5 EUR

A meal: @2 EUR
If you order in a good restaurant: @8-10 EUR

I'll be living in Hungary the next months and I wanted to go to Wacken 2008.

But this thread is so dead :(

And I can't look into hungarian metalheads forums because I only know like 20 hungarian words.
