I'd definitely say this is true...because most girls I've known are more conscious of how they look next to a guy. they don't want to go out with a guy who's shorter than them, or much much MUCH taller. my last girlfriend was 5'10" (1.78 m)...she said I was the first guy she went out with who was taller than her, so she could wear heels and not feel like it looked funny.
