From Milan by car - leaving on Thursday afternoon arriving on Friday early morning. 12 hour drive all in one go. A couple of stops to take a piss and have breakfast. XPET, you are one lucky guy, having to drive only 1 hr from Hamburg, but I'll tell you 1 thing: I'm gonna be blasting Immortal, Children of Bodom, Exodus, Warlord, Cannibal Corpse, Dornenreich, Heathen and Nuclear Assault all though the night on my car CD player!!!!!!!

I´m from Linz, Austria (between Vienna and Passau), I get to Wacken by train... ´bout 12 hours or so... and my faves this year are Dying Fetus and Unleashed.

two cars.
We are leaving in sunday.
First with boat
to the Finland then boat to the Sweden.
Then ferry to the Denmark then to Germany and then straight to the Wacken!

Personaly i'd like to see Immortal,
Nuclear Assault, Fleshcrawl and many more.

There are 4 of us attempting to get to Wacken by plane then train, then bus-via Amsterdam then Hamburg-but we haven't got tickets yet!!
Does anyone know if it's true we can buy them at Hamburg train station?

We're looking forward to seeing Hypocrisy,

there is a ticket shop at Hamburg main station (north side, near "Wandelhalle"). But I don´t know if they have tickets left. Otherwise you can try it at Remedy records (www.remedyrecords.de, near S-Bahn Holstenstrasse).

Getting there

From Belfast Northern Ireland, Fly Belfast to London, London to Lubeck drive from lubeck to Wacken. nuclear assault, Exodus, Candlemass, Primordial. See ya there!!!

Taxi to airport(0.5hr)>plane to Philadelphia(1.5hr)>plane to Amsterdam(7.75hr)>car to a big traffic jam just North of Hamburg with lotsa met-lers with signs that say "Wacken or bust" (those were better than a road map last year)(>7hr).
Fav band this year: Enslaved (damn, aren't they playing yet?).
