It's called The Damnation Game by Clive Barker and its great! Its about this man who makes a deal with chance, and he gets really successful, and later in his life the supernatural forces that he made a deal with come back for payment. So basically they want to kill him.

Highly recommended if you like horror. Clive Barker is definitely my favourite horror/fantasy author

Haven't got round to it yet. Right now I'm also reading (or rather, being forced to study ) Wordsworth's The Prelude... it was hard going at first, but when you get into it its actually pretty amazing!
