well I'm opting for a career as producer/studio engineer..there are enough bands in Scandinvia

Kickass! I'd love to help start up a studio...too bad the overhead costs are so expensive. Right now, I'm working on starting up a new record label, help some friends' bands out...

that's not too hard to do...find a good band, have them make a good recording, find some people who like the band who have a little money, have them chip in some money to help make the recording, and boom, you have a record label.


The trick is the money part.

hmmm..tricky thing is to get a decent distribution network..that record must be avaible in as many shops as possible..

that's actually not too hard...if you've got a good CD, it's just a matter of shopping it around to different distributors, mailorders, indie shops, etc. Get it to enough places, get a good buzz going, and pretty soon, the big players (i.e., the companies that control the big shops) will take notice.

It's all about building hype.
