According to a book, I read though, the governor of Texas before Bush made a monumental effort to dig the state out of a serious budget hole, and by the time she left office, Texas had a multibillion dollar surplus. Enter G. Dubya, and Texas is now in more serious debt than ever before. Go figure.

hehe, you can do the same over here if you get diplomat status through the embassy. You'll even be exempt from the piddly sales taxes too...of course, you have to fill out a little paperwork everytime you buy something, and that's a minor nuisance...
