English is a mix of a lot of stuff...Latin, French, German, etc. All leftovers from the different tribes or nations that conquered England at one time or another, haha!

I've studied a little Celtic/Gaelic...and I don't think I've ever seen a more ridiculously complex language! Well, other than Finnish. :D
