Nightwish spielt soweit ich weiß auch Donnerstags.

Hm,dann wahrscheinlich der mysteriöse Headliner aus dem Death/Thrash Bereich, hatte doch bis jetzt glaube ich meistens einen Headliner aus dem extremeren Bereich

i don't think so. wacken is not just a festival, it's a brand and they have the money maidon, nightwish and kiss for sure.

No Festival in whole Germany would have that Money (maybe the RaR because they got some big sponsores)
Because of the Taxes every Festival has to pay.
In Germany you have to Pay 25% of every Money given to a Band, as Taxes to the State. (I heard about 50% since the 1.1.2008)
And then there are some Taxes for the Festival, and some Taxes here, and some taxes there.
Other Countries don´t have that mutch Taxes for Events like this, that´s the Reason why so many Festivals in other Countries have more of the big Bands like the Graspop last Year with Maiden, Aerosmith and Ozzy as Headliner and Bands like Hammerfall, Blind Guaridan, Slayer, Children of Bodom, Dimmu Borgir or Heaven and Hell (Who all were or would be Headliner in Wacken) as Co Headliner. A Linepu like this would never be seen in Wacken, as long as Wacken stays in Germany.
That´s a fact.

Yeah but as I said, the Tax-conditions in other Countries works more for Festivals.
In Germany you have to pay more Taxes to the State.
So the Graspop has only 40.000 customers, in the time Wacken had that mutch a billing like the Graspop billing would never be possible.
Even now look at the Headliners of last Years Wacken.
At the Graspop they are only Co Headliners, like Blind Guardian, In Flames or Iced Earth.

Sepultura werdens wohl net... immerhin sind die beiden Cavaleras grad mit ihrem Versöhnungsprojekt Cavalera Conspiracy auf Tour... daher denk ich, dass dies der Dritte Headliner werden könnte. Hab auch gehört das sie insgeheim schon bestätigt sein sollen... würds mir wünschen... weil nichts rockt annährend so gut wie die Cavaleras.
Slayer, Judas Priest kann ich mir nicht vorstellen... sind auch große Bands mit einem großen Namen der entsprehend teuer ist.
Megadeth wär auch sehr geil... aber man wird sehen...

wenn das stimmt dass CC inoffiziell bestätigt sind.. HAMMER! ich hab ja schon extra nen thread aufgemacht wegen denen.. und ich wär überglücklich die live zu sehn
und zum thema..
kann man CoB nich als headliner sehn? und bfmv sollen ja anscheinend auch schon sicher sein.. wohl auch ein weiterer headliner.. also naja wenns so kommen sollte weiß ich auch nich wie sies machen..

Also die Sensation im härteren Bereich ist doch die At the Gates Reunion.
Schließlich sind die nicht irgendwer, kein Konzert mehr seit 6(?) Jahren, einziges Konzert in Deutschland, nur eine Handvoll Konzerte überhaupt...
