Hi!! I'm Chris Segger from Canada, long time metal fan, German by descent, but this will be my first time to wacken open air, i'm very excited.

I have a question. I ordered my camping/festival ticket many months ago, but i don't know how i should go about ordering a bus ticket...all the sites that would allow me to do so are only in German, and some say they will have the ticket arrive 1 week before the departure, but i'll be in germany for nearly a month before that. any suggestions?

thanks alot!

Yeah.. Take the friggin Train, you won't have to worry about buses :D

Seriously... Where will you be shortly before Wacken? If you r quite a stretch away I recommend getting a "Wochenendticket" (weekendticket) from the german rail.. it allows you +4 other people to travel for 30€ through germany on 1 ticket for one day, from whereever to whereever as often as you like... (only valid on one day though)
you can then arrive in wacken on sunday evening and spend a few more days enjoying the lovely athmosphere... if you got any questions concerning camping before the official date... have a look in this part of the board, coz there a thousands of threads regarding this (also im to bloody lazy to tell yet another person :D :D :D )

hey thanks alot! for some reason i was under the impression that you had to bus to wacken and that there was no train. we will definatley try to take the train then. we'll be in germany from july 9th untill august 9th so there will be plenty of time. do we just buy the train ticket once we're already in germany? thanks for the info!

yeah, just buy it in germany... and get it as soon as ur there... coz those tickets are only available as long as stock lasts for one weekend...

btw wacken itself doesnt have a train station the next place is "itzehoe" but from there take a cab... costs another 30€.
