First Wacken, camping without car, bad idea to arrive on Wed evening?

Hello, it is our first Wacken

My wife only has the Thursday and Friday off, so we can only arrive on Wednesday night. I assume it will be rammed, but we don't mind a long walk from the stages to our tent. I also heard that the filling procedure is very mysterious and may not even fill closest to stage first. Is it a particularly bad idea to arrive on Wednesday evening, or will it be okay if we don't mind where we are?

Like @Basti_N mentioned, there's a No Car camping, but you're actually free to put your tent anywhere you want, within the whole camping area, except for the camping site reserved for groups and the Full:Metal:Army (Wacken's fanclub).
As long as you can find a decent spot, why not? Just ask your neighbours if it's OK. Most really won't mind.

It's most likely continuous, that's to say, as long as there's demand for a shuttle, it'll run. And people can arrive pretty early sometimes!!
