hello guys

I'm studying for an economic course and yeah, I have some troubles to understand the term 'government transfers' - can anyone explain to me what it means?!

Money given out by the government to individual households, such as pensions, welfare, child support, etc.

I thought it had to do with transfers from the central government to local governments, but not only concerning money, but the management of some public services such as health or education.

Anyway, I'm not a native english speaker, so forget it

thank you! now I got it... Sozialausgaben is the German term I was looking for
Sometimes it's not easy to translate all staff correctly if you read Mecroeconomics in English

That sounds (really!!!) familiar to me, but from German to Spanish

yeah because my professors use a lot of words in English only. And then you know the English word and the meaning in German, but you don't find the right German word. Sometimes really terrible.
