credit cards or cash?

Anybody know if the vendors will accept credit cards at Wacken, or is it all cash?

Cash Point Machines
There are two cash dispensers at Wacken village and in the neighbouring village, Holstenniendorf. Due to technical difficulties, there will be no dispensers at the site.

I couldn't find any that did accept cards last year. The businesses in town do, however, so cards are still handy to have.

I'll bring cash with me, that's easier. At least you can pay anywhere with cash.

If you have debit cards with the Maestro Symbol on, you may (no guarantees, folks) be able to pay at some stalls with those, but cash is the safest bet.

from my experience some vendors do accept cards and some don´t so bring plenty of cash jin case

the supermarket in the street refuses creditcards

I would recommend cash!

Stood in line for the ATM last year for about 3 hours in burning sun, will not do that again...

Never did try and use my credit card in any other way than to get cash from the machine, but don't think too many places accept it.
