Clutch wurde zu Beginn der 1990er Jahre in Germantown, Maryland (USA) gegründet. Beim Namen stand die Gruppe Prong Pate, deren Name kurz und heftig wie in der Comicsprache klingt. Bei der Musik legt sich die Band nicht eindeutig fest; sie begann mit Hardcore, war später dem Stoner Rock zuzuordnen und entwickelte sich bis 2013 zum Blues Rock.

die neue Platte geht ab, right durch die Decke, irgendwie Bluesrock aber lauter und dreckig, haben sich über die Jahrzehnte dahin gewandelt, Klasse Album, gehören mMn nach Wacken
