Hm, best Power Metal stuff? *scratchhead*
Maybe the first Crimson Glory album?
Or Armoured Saint- Raising Fear?
Keeper I or Kings Of Metal?
Or should I prefer Iced Earth- Somethig Wicked...?
Ever heard Riot´s Privilege Of Power? It´s Power Metal sometimes with a little Jazz- Mixture.
Rage with Black In Mind are definitly part of this league.
I don´t have a clue...
I´m not even shure all these band are what you call Power Metal. ;)

Well, back in the eighties power metal was Fates' Warning, one of the best metal bands to ever walk the earth. You guys should check out their first albums, Night on Broken, Awaken the Guardian and The Spectre Within.

I guarantee you will not regret it: even after almost 15-20 years the Fates' Warning albums are still amazing. You also get a good deal for the CDs: I bought Night on Broken and The Spectre Within in a 2-for-1 package. The same for Awaken the Guardian and No Exit.

Fully agree with Karsten: the first 3 FW albums are some of the best stuff I've ever heard. Incredibly underestimated albums. I also like their newer stuff (I really like prog, such as Dream Theater, so I also like Fw's more recent albums), but nothing comes close to Night on Broken, Awaken the Guardian and the Spectre Within. Now that I think of it, Wacken should invite the FW original line-up for a reunion in Wacken 2003!
