why's that?

Probably because it's too expensive for Americans/Canadians to fly over every year. Especially since it's in August, in the middle of the summer season.

Pretty much. We are trying to save for a house. The 10k that this trip is costing would have made a nice start but instead we decided to go back to Europe one more time. We 'might' make the 50th anniversary (if they go that long) Well unless something serious changes - maybe we will win the lottery and in that case we will definitely go again next year!
