Never played that. Probably a bad thing to get into lol. I just canceled my SWTOR subscription because I seem to have managed to get away from the computer games this year. Trying to break a 10 year MMORPG gaming addiction! I've been slowly losing interest the past couple years so hoping that this will be the last time.

SL is addictive and bit different way than MMORPG's which can also be soooo addictive (i think I'm free from those for now). SL can actually be awesome place to meet really nice people and make friends and in some rare cases even fall in love (and make you move to other country). :D

Aye, I've seen some stories but I don't need that :p I would just get way too addicted to it. Nice to meet friends but probably not so good if you aren't single and already should be focusing on your FIRST life before thinking about a second one hehe

Well, I guess I'm not taking any summer classes.

I was going to, but none of the classes I'd take had even halfway decent teachers. Then I realized that taking one class would cost $833 where this semester I paid $1400 for five classes. Not worth it.

I also looked into taking some classes at my old college instead to save money, but it doesn't offer any classes I need that would transfer for the summer semester.

Well I have found few friends and a guy but I was single and had lot of extra time. I've seen lot of married people cheating their wife/husband there so it can definitely be really bad place for lot of people or in some cases place that keeps you going when your life (and maybe relationship) isn't going that well.

Maybe I'll see if I can get a second job working with computers, like something that'll turn into an actual job once I'm out of school. Dunno.

That's a good idea. Trust me if you plan to pursue IT you will need all the advantage you can get - the market is shit right now unless you have some really specific specializations. If you aren't familiar with development for smartphones/ devices I'd highly recommend that. General IT people don't get decent jobs anymore. Now a days they just hire some random monkeys and then go cry when shit goes wrong. It's honestly so bad in this field that I wouldn't recommend it to anyone anymore and will be doing my utmost to dissuade my son from following that path (even though his dad and I are both in IT) Best you can get these days is about $18 / hour for a crap contract that ends in 6 months without benefits / vacation or anything else. I was making 18$/hour TEN years ago when I graduated from university. To me paid the same now really shows how shitty the industry has gotten.

Exactly. Great for if you don't already have a relationship ;)

Wow, that's crazy. Yea, IT doesn't seem to be doing well. I think I'd try programming or something else. I'm actually thinking of switching majors to computer science. Going to take a class to see if I like it before I do.

And could you elaborate on development for smartphones? Are they looking for people to develop apps, or operating system features, or what? Because I could see myself enjoying that. I like selling them, at least. :D

I have my degree in Computer Science :p

Smart phones / Iphones / Touch pads.. all need apps. My boyfriend's company does market research using touchpads (like an IPAD) they just hired 2 developers to maintain the software and write new programs.. paying 150K /yr + Android programming is taking off also. Basically as long as the phones/devices are getting smarter they will need people to write programs for them. I wish I had the option to go back to school for development but by the time I graduated I'd be almost retired :p
