I think it's social. If you are drawn to one then normally you go to the other based on wanting to feel like you 'belong' to the group. I've no idea, I've always liked black and metal LOL
I've liked black before I liked metal. And before I had any "metal" friends. So (at least for me) it wasn't that.
Oh well, I guess that makes me ahead.![]()
Yeah but I bet because you wore black and had black stuff the 'metal heads' may have been drawn to you and introduced you to it?
I think it was the other way around actually. I met the group of metalheads I hung out with in high school because there was a hot guy in the marching band percussion (specifically the xylophones etc) section with me who was a metalhead. We became friends and then eventually I met his friends.
Before I met him, I wasn't quite into metal yet. But I was progressing towards heavier music - in a short period of time I went from simple rock to My Chemical Romance (heavy music is an addiction, once you get started you crave more). They helped me discover some bands but I'm sure I'd have found metal without them.
That sexy xylophone huh?![]()
Not sure what you mean with that. Sexy xylophonist (I don't even know what the correct term is) or as in xylphones are sexy?
In either case, he's actually also a drummer, so yes that's sexy. And xylophones are awesome.
Specifically though I like the marimba and vibraphone. The xylophone is a bit too clunky for my tastes (also the keys are really small compared to the other two so it's harder to hit the right note). But no one's ever heard of the marimba or vibraphone so![]()
This guy just drank water from that (gallon sized) carton.

Seriously? Is a water bottle not enough?![]()
