In this case I think it can simply be blamed on government employee attitudes and/or policies...i.e. if we do it all today, what will we do tomorrow? It's meant to get up to 35C again over the weekend.

Of course and the temperature is okay, but we're sitting in a big room with more than 20 desks. and every colleague wants another temperature. It's complicated.
I'm in the workers committee, so if it's getting too cold, I'm checking the temperature.

Some good news: finally got a hold of a manager and they said they'd fix my schedule for next week.

Also I found out yesterday that the store manager's been replaced. With any luck, he'll be halfway decent. And bonus - I heard they're considering firing that one coworker who's nice but really lazy.

How in the world did I manage to sleep so late?

Went to bed around 7-8pm (never ever ever happens but I was tired), woke up somewhere around 2am to go to the bathroom and then didn't fall asleep till 4 or so (I read a book and played a game) and then suddenly it's 3pm.

Normally when you sleep in like that your body probably needed it! You've been having quite a bit of stress lately so it doesn't surprise me!

just all kinds of stuff that I know will never return... like no responsibilities and lots of people that I haven't seen in years who I probably will never seen again too

My 'teen years' are not something I am interested in re-living to be honest. I was not happy, fat, living with someone I hated because I needed a place to live, working 2 jobs to try and pay my bills..They weren't happy times.

I can quite honestly say that I am happier now than I have ever been at any other point in my life.

Very cold this morning. 'tis about -6 deg. No snow so far, but's pretty foggy outside. Ah well, my office is warm. So is my coffee. What the hell. Got a research vessel to finish.

I think we are about the same, possibly a couple degrees cooler. Nice walking weather! The sidewalk was nice and clear this morning so I did not have to risk falling on my ass on the way to work
