So the guy that was supposed to change my tires cancelled my first appointment and didnt show up for the second one. Now I am 2 days from the deadline to have winter tires and I have no appointment anywhere and probably can't get one..

Bring a copy of whatever paperwork/emails/etc you have of your appointment in your car? That way if you get pulled over, you have proof you tried.

Reminds me, we have to get one too. Or we're stuck in BE (we want to go to France end of the month)

Or I go by train. :D

I've figured it out. Customers think we're gods.

It's the only reason why they expect us to magically produce an item after I tell them we don't have it and get upset over it.

I'm used to it by now mostly. But today, a woman on the phone gave me the item number for something and wanted me to find out what stores had it. When the item wasn't found in our systems, I spent a good 15 mins trying to find out why and if there was anything I could do to help her find it. Talking to her the whole time and explaining what I was doing (so she wasn't just on hold the entire time). When I finally told her there wasn't anything I could do after tracking down a manager to ask them, she just went (very sarcastically) "Well thanks for the help".

Always feels great when you go to the ends of the earth to help someone just to get that kind of thanks.

In other news, some of my final grades are in - two out of three classes are As. The other I don't know yet because yesterday was the final. Should also be an A though unless I did badly on the final.

Next semester is going to be a new adventure. Five classes, all in the same day, starting at 8am and ending at 4pm. Two more classes than this semester.

I'm asking to work max 16hrs vs max 22hrs now (though I've been getting 25+ lately), so it should be a bit easier there.

It'll definitely be a semester unlike any other because I'm there for so long. I'll have to figure out what to eat for one. And then I'll probably try to do the bulk of my homework and studying at school - in between classes as well as during the don't-really-need-to-pay-attention classes.

Hopefully I can get used to waking up so early and thus also going to bed early. If not, I'll be screwed. :p

If it works out though... it'll probably be a good semester. Actually being at school keeps me in the "mood" to be more productive, so if I'm there for longer, hopefully I'll get more done. Depending on how easy/hard my classes are and how much homework is assigned, I might manage to get it all done at school, except for big projects or papers. Meaning that the other four days of the week, all I have to do is show up for work every once in awhile and relax the rest of the time. :)

With any luck, I'll just work two days a week - 8hrs a day. It'd be easier to cram all my hours in that way. Then I'd have two days off both school and work every week, which would be awesome.

At least I should have one day off every week - unless they give me 4 4hr shifts, which they don't like to do. Usually the shortest shift is 4.5hrs.
