Damn that's a bad idea..look at the shit happening over here. Students graduating with 100k + of debt having to work shit jobs to even try to pay it back because they can't get jobs in their fields. Took me 10 years to pay my loan and I still have ANOTHER one that I am still paying for another 2 years. Bad bad bad idea..

Sounds like the logic people have over here. If your family's low income, you get help. If not, obviously your parents are both able and willing to pay for your education, so you don't need help. Well, tell that to the average student debt in the tens of thousands.

The strike was in Quebec (where I live) and it was because here we PAY very high taxes which are meant to offset this cost of education for our kids. But instead of using what we have already paid for the reason it was paid they tried to raise the price. What people don't understand is that the reason we pay higher taxes here than in any other part of the country is because we BELIEVE in free education for our kids. So we pay up front for that to happen..then the government ignores that fact and tries to make the kids pay more anyway.

If you pay high taxes for the same reason, then yes you should strike.
