"Moin" is pretty close to the way I would pronounce "morning" if someone woke me up too early and I felt like using actual words to greet people as apposed to waving or grunting :D As if the Australian accent could get much lazier :ugly:

Exactly..so I would hear it and assume that's what was being said/ At least I can say I will understand 1 word at woa. I am a little worried though what to do if someone is starting trouble. I wont know what to say :(

Just speak English. Most of the young people speak very fluent English, and most of the older generation speak plenty of English (though they will be modest and say they only speak "a little English").
