I still smoke... my parents did that to me aswell. The most shocked I was with this shyte about raising kids nowadays is when I was still working in a bookstore. We had stuff from diddle that all the girls wanted to have. This spoiled girl came in the store and her mum actually told her that she was allowed to pick 1 item as she already gotten something from a different store. She looked at the stuff for about 15 mins then picked 2 things. Her mum kindly reminded her that she was only allowed 1 item. The girl just started screaming at her mum that she wanted both and her mother had better pay for it. Her mother told her no so the girl started crying and screaming on the top of her voice that she wanted both and if she didn't get them both she would call the "kindertelefoon" (a special phonenumber for kids to call in abuse) and report her mum. The mother just turned bright red told her that she couldn't have either now and walked out the store. Leaving her kid, who trailed after her about 2 mins later.
If i tried that when I was younger my mum would give me one warning. 1 item or non. If I said anything about it, I wouldn't get either and a smack against my arse... I still respect my mum...
my mum smoked during the pregency and right after... I came out alright if I say so myself
