I've never udnerstood the fun of arriving (too) early at a festival. Nothing to do, nothing prepared (infrastructure etc) and then the fools who think they can do anything, just becasue the parents aren't near by to watch (over) them.
No. I'm still glad I'm not there.
But... maybe... maybe in 2014. (25th edition)

I use most of the things normally too so can't just pack them days before
I am done now except one toilet bag which I will pack after a shower. I have big hiking backbag with smaller normal backbag "tied" to it so I don't have to carry 2. Can easily take smaller one off at the airport and take it to the plane and bus. But it is now huge bag

Voor ons wel.
Langdurige regen voor 't festival, net als nu, en we lagen toendertijd nog op "L" (gereserveerde plaats), maar moesten daar allemaal weg, vanwege teveel water op 't veld. En gevolg, we werden overal verspreid. Iedereen lag overal. Wij toen op "Ü". (let op de Umlaut!) We algen zelfs niet meer in Gribbohm, maar in Holsteiniendorf. Zo'n 45min. lopen naar 't festivalterrein.
Dat was overdreven.

Don't get me wrong, Iwish I was there just because my tent would be pitched already
I understand!
But this is actually a general remark to those who're already there. I don't see the need of arriving too early. (except in some rare exceptions)

No I´m going tomorrow.
LORD played HOA and the aftershow and I went to both shows. They´re mates of mine so they were more than happy for me to hang out with them before and after the show. Tim even walked me and another girl I met at the show to our hotel. They had one more night in Hamburg and they invited me out again to hang with them in the Red Light District etc. We went to a few different bars, drank lots of beer and the last pub was right underneath their hostel. I was pretty far gone and so they let me stay in the hostel room. I had to share a double bed with half the band
Lucky for me I made it back to my own hotel in time for breakfast and be sick.
