Anzac Day marks the anniversary of the first campaign that led to major casualties for Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.

That was in Gallipoli, Turkey. Thousands of people go to Anzac Cove on Anzac day for a dawn service there and it gets televised. Then of course you have dawn services all over the country and church services, as well as marches. The Brisbane service is held at Anzac Square in the city.
