I think your trip is the longest Alix.

For me: We will be taking a bus to Montreal from Ottawa as the airport here is shite. That's 3 hours. Then we have to be AT the airport about 3 hours early for international flights to do customs and all that stuff. We fly for about 7 hours in total. We will leave our house at 1pm on a Saturday and arrive to Paris at 10:30 am on the Sunday - It's about 21 hours in total travel for me.

Nevertheless...

just for Wacken, this journey is "Hammerfall" :D

For Alix especially. :D

That's at least how much time I will spend in the sky just to get there. The flight TO Hamburg again won't be so bad; I'm coming from London Heathrow this year. Ah, reminds me my first time at Wacken, I flew straight to Hamburg (had to stop in Singapore and Munich) to arrive the day before. I was so jetlagged by the time I arrived in Munich that I forgot my reason for travel! I'll never forget the change in tone of the boarder patrol guy:
" WHAT'S YOUR REASON FOR COMING TO GERMANY?"
" ... huh?"
":o Holiday? Business?"
":o Oh yeah...holiday."
":o How long are you staying?"
"A week"
*stamp*
":D HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME! ENJOY GERMANY :D :D :D"

In an hour or so I'll be registering for my classes next fall. Some of them, anyway.

Some of them I can't get into yet until my grades for this semester are finalized. Which sucks, because what if I can't? The majority of people will have registered by then. Guess we'll see.

I need one class before I can take the next, and I need both those two classes before I can take the majority of the other ones I need for computer science.

Meanwhile, the only other classes I can take towards both the compsci degree and econ minor are those classes I have to wait till the end of the semester to register.

Brilliant.

And in the meantime, I just realized one of those classes has a prerequisite of a class I don't have and don't need to take otherwise. So best case scenario right now is I only have three classes for next fall.

If I can get a hold of decent vegetables I'll be doing that again too :D

We'll be shopping in Stuttgart before we get on the train though I have no idea what to bring. Probably it will be cans that we can eat cold, bread and peanut butter or something. Bob doesn't want to buy those little grills so we are stuck either buying food there or eating sandwiches etc.. I will probably grab some oranges or apples as they will last a few days too.

I did the same, though last year I spoiled myself and bought some peaches instead of oranges/mandarins :D
