Frankfurt Airport is closed since yesterday...

yeah I heard on the news.
schiphol airport is still open, but lots of problems with trains and on the road.
I had to walk about half of the time this morning because biking wasn't an option.

What do you mean, ON a train?

And I'm going by train, that's for sure. I'm afraid on open water, so a boat isn't an option, and the distance is too short to take a plane. Besides that, I hate flying.

We've had a particularly dry summer right around the country, heaps of bush fires, etc. We're in the middle of "storm season" but we've barely seen water falling from the sky. Every time we're told "so maybe it might rain a little bit today" it doesnt There was a bit of drizzle today...enough to un-do the hard work I did to clean my car yesterday

Got a direct from Brussels Midi/South to London St. Pancras, so why bother other options? There's no direct water connection anymore from Ostend (Oostende) to Dover, and I prefer not to go ot Calais to take a boat there (if at all)

Looking forward to that!!! Even if a place was £45.00 (plus handling)

It starts at 5pm GMT so if I leave at 9am (CET) from Charleroi, I'll be there by around 2pm GMT. (complicated, all those time zones)

Why breakfast?

It starts at 5pm GMT so if I leave at 9am (CET) from Charleroi, I'll be there by around 2pm GMT. (complicated, all those time zones)

I have to inform myself about possibilities to stay, so I can leave the next morning to go to Belgium.

I always prefer hotels that include breakfast, even if I have to leave before dawn. Also if the price did include breakfast that'd be a pretty amazing deal considering the location! When I stayed overnight at Kings Cross St Pancras in a 2* hotel I think I paid about 67 pounds for the night and it included a cooked breakfast. The room was super tiny but it didn't worry me as I was only there for 1 night and I only intend to shower and sleep in a hotel room anyway

I'm not sure whether I'm going alone or if we all are going! This is something that we need to sort out, before I even start looking for a hotel.

And I have the problem with accessability near public transportation. If I can't go by tube/bus, it's useless to go there.
