Depends. The "public services" start in Jan, private enterprises start either in Jan, Apr. Jul, or Oct. But July is shit due to holidays, Dec is the same, so leaves Jan and Apr. (and actually September as a single month)

For us everything goes based on a 'fiscal year' so they announce budgets in April - lame but the way it is in government work. If you don't have something by June you may as well give up for the year until September (when the kids are back in school and people have to hire to make up for the free summer labor they were getting from the Co-Op students)

same here. The budgets for the year (financial year) will be in April. But most companies here get there budgets per quarter. So come January there will be som extra money available.

Whats a PMA? I have to go do an install for our BIG CIO soon. Not looking forward to it, especially since he's decided that it has to be at 11:30 which gives me NO time to finish before I have to leave for the day..I hate people that expect me to stay overtime to fix their shit.

PMA stands for Positive Mental Attitude. Wich I really need working here with people always being negative. I actually wrote it on my hand to constantly remind myself not to give in to negativity.

Just the fact that they assume that you will stay to fix it is wrong. How hard is it to just ask? Good luck.

Ah, normally I'm pretty happy here. We have people who are really negative but thankfully they don't sit close to me so I can avoid them.

They want us to change our hours to stay later. I can't do this because I have to pick up my son from daycare before 4:45. If I stay until 4 then I would not be able to make it..but this might soon be required, I have just been trying my hardest not to have it happen.

I already told him I finish at 3 - which could cause a problem with my boss since it has been mentioned that he wants us here until 4..I'm hoping the guy doesn't make a big fuss about it *fingers crossed*
