The US is going bad, and Canada and Europe are worse.

Then picking somewhere within Swissland - Zürich's a big city, in the German-speaking part, near the Alps, good quality of life (one of the highest worldwide).

You do know you're American, and it's by far NOT easy to become a Swiss citizen? Therefore you are outside when it comes to voting. And I can't imagine that the Swiss will let anybody into their country that easilly. Even from Europe and the US. But it is a nice country!

But Schwitzerdüütsch isn't German. It's like Zürichdeutsch. You won't be able to understand Baseldeutsch. (or Churdeutsch, Oltendeutsch, St. Moritzdeutsch, Davosdeutsch, Berndeutsch, Genfdeutsch, oh wait, that's French )
