I am not addicted, it's just part of my daily routine!

I hear you! I usually autonomously so when I do have conversations with people at work (almost all of them old enough to be my mum/dad), the topics are usually about my/our lunch, boring domestic shit, the patients, or how they can't fix something. On odd occasions when the doctors don't think they're too cool to hang with the plebs at lunch we can get into some pretty interesting conversations, but not often enough.

Oh yeah there's something else that happened on Thursday I was dying to tell you all about!

So there I was in the ward meeting yesterday, there weren't a lot of people there (partly because the consultant sent all his juniors away to catch up on work), when for some reason, the topic of me came out of nowhere.

*blah blah blah about a patient*
"That's fine I'll sign it"
"So, any metal shows coming up?"

Then very quickly we got onto the subject of Finland. I also had our pharmacist ask me to explain what a metalhead was.
