That my parents went to town and usually when they go, they'll bring some breakfast when they come back. Problem is, that they probably only come back in the early afternoon but I don't wanna have breakfast twice

Last week they went on a trip. They promised me they'd keep the cell switched on. For 3 days I only got the mailbox on the phone and they were gone for a day longer than they had the hotel booked. I was worried sick

My mum always has it on but never hears it in her purse so it's kinda useless as well.

Actually my point was the times she has it on she doesn't hear it anyway, so hence it being useless.
