It was pretty bad... it hurt even when I was relaxing, and far worse if I had to move them, pick up things, or even type. 
Woke me up in the middle of the night... I had to get an ice pack and ibuprofen (pain killers). Which is saying something, because I never resort to that unless it's necessary.
Long story short, it sucked.
