Well. I learned Latin last month. Did one of those crash courses and I haven't read something Spanish or Italian yet. Maybe I'll understand more now. But when I only knew French it was really hard to figure what a text in another Romanic language said. And Italiens talk to quickly, so I don't even understand a single word, but I like the sound of Italian

I had 4-5 years of latin or such..

weird... men det finns ord som det i tyska också. Like "modern" (adjective) and "modern" (verb) ...well, there are better examples

There are various accents also, but somehow non-swedes seem to not pick upon that very much, at least not as much as us Swedes do

and there's another fact: Portugal's portuguese is easier to understand than Brazil's portuguese
