Primary fermentation should be ready in 5 days, but I'll give it 6-7 before I put it in secondary

Then about a week in secondary/clearing stage after which I put it on bottles

2 weeks on bottles to get carbonated

then a few hours in the fridge = done for smaple :)

Sounds like a somewhat lengthy process, but worth it I'm sure.

I have never tried Mead, what is it like? I hear that it's sweeter than beer.

depends on which type of mead

you can let all the sugar ferment and then it's almost like a vinegar, or at least a very sour white wine

also depends on which yeast you use

but it can ve very sweet



and also, you can spice it, use fruits and what not

this one has red plums in it

I've had it two days in a row now :mad:

Sucks since I know from the whole week I have a "sleeping debt" to get back on

worried how I'll cope with work next week :(

Yeah that's rough. Luckily for me I work night shift and sleep until I am ready to wake up on most days. But this morning I woke up early for no good reason.
