My parents were never into new stuff, neither am I. If someting works, why change it? (unless you need it for professional reasons)

now, as I have "enough" money, I NEVER would pay a lot of money for crap like boss or joop. if I like something I buy it, but not if I think it´s too expensive.

Let me tell you something. When I was in 8th grade (just 13 years old), my friends told me "You have to start getting make up, or you'll be an outsider!"
13 years old! They did not lie. I became outsider and even my friends let me down, because I refused to use make up (just don't think it's worthy and especially I though, I won't use make up with 13 years! I'm a child!)

But I actually started to paint my face. Just with lipsticks in colours like green, blue, purple etc. Since then the others got my point of view/statement and I'm at least accepted

See, and I accept people who they are. Make up or no make up, I don't care. (I don't see it anyways )

And I like my cute little girl Sipy! What'd I say? I love her!
And why? Just because she's who she is, no more, no less!

May education at home (in this issue) was very good. I still thank my parents for it.

My sister is at your age and I remember, when she was 16 it was pretty important for her and her classmates to wear Chiemsee and O'neill stuff and stuff like that. They all were pretty involved in that brand topic... It wasn't like that when I was 16. Nobody cared about which brands they were wearing
