The US (in GENERAL, not our members in particular) is kinda narrowminded, and conservative. I know, I'm generalizing, but I see the difference between the US votes OUTSIDE the US and within the US. People "here" have seen more.

E.g. gay marriage is allowed here (and in NL) but not recognized in the US "because it isn't right".
