The Battalions of Fear Cd is what i am listening to now. it's got a slight thrash edge at times.

yea blind guardian do have a bit of thrash mixed in, it's pretty awesome.

Well to me yes. And some of my CDs and LPs are worth a lot more now than when I bought them for. But I would NOT sell them so their monetary worth is sorta pointless for me.

my taste in metal is pretty broad, from 70s hard rock, 80s hair Metal to Death Black Metal and everything in between except for NuMetal. And to some people if that is gay or makes me a poseur i don't care what they think. Variety is what keeps me into metal for so long.

yea same here, i like basically all kinds of metal, except most metalcore, most death metal, and satanic black metal... i definately know where you're coming from with the variety, sometimes i'll want sonata arctica, then megadeth, then arch enemy, and so on

exactly! I also don't care for grunge which some people lump in with metal which I don't. i like a small amount of Metalcore, Lamb of God, Shadowsfall, a few songs by Unearth. Most of the vocalists sound the same, and I don't care for the standard Metalcore vocals
