the GREAT difference about Brazilian's and Portugal's portuguese is the way as we use the verbs... in Brazil, single or plural, we use mostly 1st and 3rd person, in Portugal, they use mostly 1st and 2nd person, but we understand each other VERY WELL, just have some minor word differences...

I know A LOT of portugueses here, and they are very nice persons, and swear a lot too!

But I have the same problem. I'm Dutch, but I have to speak "Flemish". It's Dutch, but much more anti-french yet they use more French in their Dutch. (litterally translated expressions)
