that is one of those days which you will remember the rest of your life, I guess it was the same when man landed on the moon
I still remember 9-11 very clearly
I was working (it was afternoon here when it happened) after school, and I was cleaning the fridge (I worked in the kitchen of a restaurant) when the song on the radio stopped for an extra news program. Because I was singing a long to the song (with or without you by U2) it immediately caught my attention that the song stopped.
So I stood there listening with my mouth open, coz I was shocked. At that moment the chef and a waiter came back from their break and they were talking kinda loud, so I SSSSSHHHHHT them. but they kept talking (they hadn't heard it yet) so I said: Shut the fuck up! I want to hear this! They were shocked I said that so they stopped talking right away.
But that is something which is hard to comprehend at the moment you hear that.
When I heard about the tsunami me and a colleauge tried to imagine how high the wave had to be, but we just couldn't.
Weird thing was, at the time of the tsunami I did not have the possibility to watch tv so when I saw the footage later (like in january for the first time) I was so shocked...
